Introduction to Greenland

Greenland Cooperative is located in Gaoshu Township, Pingtung County, a township known for sunshine in southern Taiwan. It was established in August 2005, and the main products are fresh pineapples and relevant processed products. Surrounded by Dawushan and Ailiao River and with more than 100 hectares of pineapple cultivation area, the rich farmland produces high quality and delicious fruits. Greenland Cooperative promotes Taiwan Good Agricultural Practice (TGAP), actively assists farmers in understanding soil characteristics, and implements management procedures, such as reasonable fertilization and pest and disease prevention. Greenland Cooperative produces high quality agricultural products by implementing the concept of safety and health as well as the cultivation spirit that values farmers’ philosophy as well as cultivation and harvest in season.

It produces diversified agricultural products, and supplies seasonal fruits to domestic and overseas markets. Dry fruits are the recently developed by-products. The Greenland Cooperative also actively contacts vendors in food, bakery and restaurant industries to create higher added value by cooperating with different industries and formulating diversified product strategies.

Cultivation and harvest in season

Following the land and solar terms, Greenland cultivates and harvests pineapple in season. Greenland also changes the thinking of the farmers who have been cultivating pineapples, and promotes contract farming, which protects the clients and farmers’ rights from the fluctuation of market price. Growth hormone-free, safe, healthy, happy and responsible production is Greenland’s insist so that Greenland can provide high quality agricultural products that are cultivated and harvested in season.

Through careful selection and quality control, Greenland makes sure that the cooperative farmers understand cultivation knowledge, such as soil nutrient, fertilizer use and pest management, and test irrigation water and soil heavy metals. Greenland is TGAP and ISO22000:2005 certified and provides the best cultivation environment for growing agricultural products with zero detection of pesticides.

Greenland’s pineapple is cultivated in season, and no growth hormone is added during the cultivation process. Moreover, no artificial chemical fragrances are added during the processing of the by-products.
